Edit: Today I've re-learnt not to underestimate how blind you are to your own artwork. What started as a little touch up of her nose ended up as a major touch up of most of this piece. Looking back at the old version I cringe.
I will probably come back to this in another three months and cry over all the things that are wrong. Again.
Here's the old version if you're not convinced I've touched it at all:[link]

This is a new take on their original character Lucy. It did not at aaall end up as I first planned, and doesn't look much like the original character design. It feels like a technical progress though, and I'm pleased with a lot of bits. Ended up more fantasy than I intended...
This illustration came out incredible. You did really wonderful on how you did her anatomical proportions as well as the posing. The design of the outfit that she's wearing looks very good and I like how you did the glowy necklace that she's wearing also. As for her white hair, I really love how you painted it really well.
As for the background, it looks really nice. I like how you did the mountains and the stormy skies surrounding her.
A couple of questions though.
1. Why is her neck a bit tall? 2. Did you have any trouble doing this painting and how long did it take for you to do it?
I don't see anything wrong with her neck at all, ya know, but this illustration came out pretty good! I like how you did the clothing that Lucy's wearing as well as her windswept hair.
I definitely see the difference. But dont get discouraged when you see your old work. Always look at it and remember what you learned after creating it. For this one, I see you learned alot. The beauty is that you took what you learned and applied it to the new version. Youre always growing and learning new things. Youre an awesome artist.
Yeah, I understand that feeling all too well. But once you know that you developed more skills afterwards, you can make it better or create something totally different and new.
Wow, it was already amazing but now it looks even better, the changes in her face made her eyes look brighter somehow, and the proportions look more natural now!
I'm especially happy about the changes of her face actually Thank you. I've been pulling her bodyparts in various directions to get the proportions right!
As for the background, it looks really nice. I like how you did the mountains and the stormy skies surrounding her.

It looks really well done though. Keep it up!
