I've had this laying on my harddrive for a few days without being able to touch it. I currently feel like this is unfinished. But I have no clue on how to take it further. If anyone has any ideas I'm gladly taking them :) Until then I call it temporarily done.

Just a guy floating on an orange fridge, discovering a creature.

I'm very much drawn in by these gorgeous colours and the artistic style which lend themselves for a striking piece which is equally as engaging with a certain wonderment which is to be said about the technical ability of this artist.

The majestic, flowing form which can be seen submerged beneath this discoverer offers much in a way of depth for the piece, complimented by the choice of colour. While the animal peaks from the water's skin we're exposed to what was always expected to be a whale-like surface to the critter, producing gentle ripples on the water to meet his. While the creature is most predominant within the composition, the colours set it back somewhat to give way for more notice of a calm, watchful man as he too, takes note of something beneath him.

What may have been overlooked previously comes a small but pleasant discovery of my own - the blue ascending skies reflected upon the water, while none of the strokes are wasted and are placed as such so that they're not immediately apparent or distracting.

I am delighted to have sighted this piece today and shall most definitely find my way to the rest of this artist's works now.

I think this could be made into a comic in a Flight book. The art style is very similar to stuff in Flight.

It is a book series. They have awesome covers. In each book there is a bunch of comics by authors. There is, I think, 8 books in the series. One comic I read had an art style very similar to yours, and there was a creature under the water talking to a guy on a boat, so your picture reminded me of Flight.
