But I googled and you're right!
There's a lovely light that hits the face and good work with the brushes and textures. The background is subtile, needed there to help lift the face and create a setting for the rest of the pic, which it does.
Because of the colours and the way the background looks like winter with stormy clouds, I imagine that he's the kind of person who's cold and strong on the outside but warm and kind on the inside.
The lips are really well drawn, as the rest of details in the drawing. I'm amazed at how the skin is coloured. I keep staring at the structure and the way they are sculptured. Very nicely done!
So to sum up: It's a lovely portrait done in rich colour and with it's play of light and shadow it demands attention.
